So (because) you think you can

These are the results of the poll. I do kindly invite those brave four people who think I'm infinitely boring, to give me suggestions on how to improve (that is, if they have the guts to post a comment). Those 5 people who think this blog is still boring, despite being well written, are encouraged to pluck up their courage and write a comment also. Haven't I always encouraged you to give me more feedback?

I'm very flattered by the fact that 26% of the readers are very happy with how this blog is doing. And I totally can relate to the relative frustration of those 10 who like this blog, but fear it isn't updated frequently enough for their liking. I do try to post more regularly, but there is the tiny problem of being limited in the time I can spend on the computer. Things aren't helped by the fact that I have two more exams in the coming weeks.

I do promise I'm going to try and publish more often, but the possible downside is that there will be more shorter posts. I do try to avoid (as much as I can resist the temptation) posting a few videos or photos, just so the blog is updated. You might have noticed that I also don't post the results of various Internet quizzes, personality questionnaires etc. I do try to deliver quality content. If you have any suggestions or comments, even questions - you're most welcome to post a comment.

well teh question still remains. Why to do it? Does one write the blog for being popular, or cause one just wants to write and share interesting things...
Ones blog is therefore the mirror of what you want to do on it...

I do it to practice my English (and now also Slovenian). I have no aspirations in the fame/popularity direction.

What I do, I like to do well and this blog does quite obviously show that dedicated more time - it could be so much better.

But I am bothered by the people who chose to vote for "boring". And i'm curious as to what tehy think would make this blog more interesting. Maybe they have a point. Maybe they don't, but I can't know unless they drop me a line in the comments. Unfortunately, very few people have the courage to do so.

Well, quality content provider, good luck with your exams! :)

I took part in your poll. I am not sure if I in fact chose it at the end, but I was at least inclining to "Well written, but that's it", since it's a treat for me to read your writing - and I think your humor is maturing -, but I related and enjoyed more the contents of a year or so ago. But this shouldn't matter much, and don't take it to your heart, for it's only a opinion. I still like to read you. Good bye, anyhow.

Bo - I have changed. We all change in time and my change was (to a certain extent) tracked on this blog as well. What I really miss and plan on doing more in the future is to write/post more book reviews. Maybe that's the thing you miss the most here? (How are you getting on with Harry P?)

I like to hear people's opinions. My views are - naturally - subjective and listening to other people gives me a clearer image of what the reality is. And because this blog is not private, I do like to get feedback. Unfortunately, lately the feedback was scarce and I'm curious as to why this is. Are people getting bored - what would make this blog more interesting - do they just read, but find little to comment - etc.

You have fun time, too!

What is this in 207 books: Peacehiker - brez denarja okoli sveta

It isn't that guy who I think it is, huh? :) You know, the one who is running for president? If it is, you must write about it because he seems such a funny guy.

About your blog, you do not update it enough, but I see you are very serious and have other things to do and as you are not in the bussines of gaining fame in the Slovenian blogosphere or even making money, you sholdn't worry to much about it. Just make some guidelines for yourself: what you want your blog to be about.

I personally would like something about books every now and then. There is a problem here, though. As tastes vary, it is logical, that only few books are of any intereset to readers. Except for Harry Potter, that's an alltime winner.

Hey, have you read George R.R. Martins Song of Ice an Fire?

Jin - ever since I found out that Peacehiker wanted to become president, I was planning on finally writing that book review. In the shortest words possible: the book's not good. But he does seem to have quite a few fans out there, which is in a way very sad. I promise I'll write that one soon (I was studying very seriously and couldn't do it before) and explain my views.

I did say that this blog could be so much better had I more time to invest in it - but between my personal life and studying and research - blog comes in the last place.

It's been a while since I did a proper post about books - HP posts notwithstanding - so brace yourself for 3 consecutive ones. :)

No, I don't even dare touch RR Martin at the present. I have so much other work to do. Maybe around the end of November - beginning of December. But it's not a promise. One thing I dislike about studying medicine is that there is no real time to read. And any time I do take the time to read, I feel like I'm cheating.

Aha, I'll read then what this book is about.

Martin is easy to read. I guess if you want to, you can read it in a few days, even if it is huge. I personally read good books slowly, prolonging the pleasure.

Believe me, in modern times there really isn't much time to read for basically everybody, except students. That is why television rules and people watch Big Brother.
