The meaning of it all

I had the strangest dreams yesterday night. I dreamt I was pregnant. I even fussed about not having taken any folate beforehand. But I wasn't worried or even scared. It felt like something I already knew about.

And -
in fact, I did. I dreamt the same thing about a week ago.

What amazes me, though, is that this simply cannot be. And if, by chance, it is, the baby is David Copperfield. Or Harry Potter. Or both.

Hey, immagine giving birth to a Harry Potter :D

What does it mean? Probably that you've been thinking about that and it stuck on some level in your subconscious.

I've imagined your baby Harry Potter, comming out at birth with his big black glasses on. That was really funny :)

But where did you find David Copperfiled? Is he really a man? :)

Lilit - I understand your enthusiasm, but for the present (=until I finish med-school) we have absolutely NO plans on having any offspring of any kind. Not even Harry Potters. :) But it is true that I'm warming to the idea of becoming a mother myself one day. Something I would never say three years ago.

Hirkani - first off: welcome!
There's an old joke where a couple is getting all too passionate in the bedroom, when the girl says: "So...what will the baby's name be?" And the guy, producing a condom, replies: "If he manages to penetrate this, we'll call him David Copperfield." (See this for further explanation.)

Maybe it's a gift from the Holy Spirit :D Like the Virgin Mary :))

Miami - maybe it is ;) One never knows. :D

Belgothiel - yes, I think that might be the case. Or I simply don't know any men who dream of being pregnant.

In that case my biological clock is out of sync with my "mental" clock.

Not to sound fatalistic or anything, but in these times they often are out of sync.

I dreamt being pregnant too, twice, but some years ago.

Nothing happened since than :)

I dreamt being pregnant - and I was pregnant. It was funny, because I still didn`t get my first period after birth and I was pregnant for the second time. 10 weeks, I think. :)

Lilit - I agree. But for the present it is completely impossible for me to have a child.

Position female - welcome to my blog! I've been reading yours for ages and like it immensly, hence the link I added to my blogroll. I think my case is much like yours. :)

Gaby - a kind welcome to you, too! :) I know your story having read it on your own blog, but I fear mine is quite a bit different. (Thankfully!) I'm not pregnant and there was very, very, very little chance of my being so. :)
